I am a Tennessee Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor with over two decades of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adults. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder, and my primary therapeutic framework is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Drawing from my background in clinical social work, medical science education, and evidence-based therapies such as DBT, I help clients develop practical skills while also exploring deeper patterns, beliefs, and values. When appropriate, I incorporate discussions of physical health, nervous system regulation, lifestyle factors, and spirituality—always guided by the client’s preferences and belief system. My goal is to support healing that is integrated, sustainable, and aligned with the person you are as a whole.

I believe deeply that there is no true separation between the mind and the body, and that emotional, physical, and spiritual health are profoundly interconnected. In alignment with this belief, I completed Basic Science Medical School coursework at St. James School of Medicine in 2025, strengthening my ability to understand and incorporate the physiological aspects of mental health into clinical practice.

Throughout my career, I have held a variety of leadership and clinical roles across diverse settings. From 2004–2006, I served as a Group Home Manager in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, followed by work as a Qualified Professional providing mental health services in Wilmington-area schools from 2006–2008. I went on to serve as Director of Clinical Services for Family Preservation Services from 2008–2013.

Between 2013 and 2015, I worked as a therapist in a Winston-Salem pediatric clinic and concurrently served as an emergency room assessment provider, coordinating care across inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care. From 2015–2021, I was the Clinical Director and IOP Group Therapist, where I focused on program development, clinical supervision, and group-based DBT treatment.

Since 2021, I have been the Owner and Clinical Director of RTW, where I continue to provide therapy, clinical supervision for licensure, and program leadership. I am passionate about mentoring emerging clinicians and supporting them in developing both strong clinical skills and a grounded professional identity.

At the heart of my work is a belief in each person’s capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is structured yet compassionate, scientifically grounded yet deeply human, and always respectful of the whole person.

I know what it’s like to be stuck in the cycle of perfectionism—always pushing, always striving—and then hitting a wall where you feel completely drained, disconnected, and unsure of what’s next. Feeling anxious and on edge one day, then exhausted and unmotivated the next? That’s familiar territory for me. And if that’s where you are, you’re not alone.

In our work together, I’ll help you make sense of your emotions and thought patterns. As you share your story, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of feeling calm, connected, or just at peace with yourself. Whether you’re feeling stuck emotionally or mentally, we’ll work to clear those blocks so you can move toward a more fulfilling life.
