I know what it’s like to be stuck in the cycle of perfectionism—always pushing, always striving—and then hitting a wall where you feel completely drained, disconnected, and unsure of what’s next. Feeling anxious and on edge one day, then exhausted and unmotivated the next? That’s familiar territory for me. And if that’s where you are, you’re not alone.
In our work together, I’ll help you make sense of your emotions and thought patterns. As you share your story, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of feeling calm, connected, or just at peace with yourself. Whether you’re feeling stuck emotionally or mentally, we’ll work to clear those blocks so you can move toward a more fulfilling life.
I use mindfulness-based tools that help you relate differently to your thoughts and emotions—so instead of being overwhelmed by them, you can learn when to accept, when to act, and how to create change when it’s needed. I also teach practical skills for handling life’s stressors, navigating transitions, and building stronger, healthier relationships. That includes learning how to speak up for yourself in a way that feels clear and balanced, without losing connection to the people you care about.
I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2008 and have worked with kids, teens, and adults in a variety of settings. I’m trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, and I spent several years as an Intensive Outpatient Therapist at The Middle Path in Knoxville, working primarily with adults facing chronic anxiety, depression, PTSD, and personality-related struggles. That experience really deepened my belief in how powerful DBT can be—it helps people feel less ruled by their emotions and more confident in their ability to handle whatever life throws their way.
These days, I spend most of my time supervising the amazing team at Ride The Wave Counseling Services and supporting both our clients and clinicians. It’s work I truly love.
