I work with teens and adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—often in ways that don’t make sense to them on the surface. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who struggle with anxiety, self-criticism, or a constant feeling of pressure to “do more” or “be better,” especially in relationships or during times of stress.

My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on understanding emotions and the patterns shaped by past relationships. I’ve completed the EFT Externship and am continuing my training through CORE Skills Training in 2026, because I believe good therapy is something we keep learning and growing into.

In our work together, we slow things down and get curious about what your emotions are trying to tell you.  To do this, I integrate meditation and somatic-based practices to support nervous system regulation and emotional awareness. Many clients carry stress, trauma, or emotional patterns not only in their thoughts, but in their bodies. Mindfulness and somatic work help clients notice internal cues, increase tolerance for emotional experience, and build a greater sense of grounding and safety. These practices are introduced gently and collaboratively, always paced to the client’s readiness and comfort.

In addition, instead of pushing feelings away or trying to “fix” yourself, we look at how your emotional responses developed and how they may have helped you in the past—even if they’re now getting in the way. From there, we work toward building more safety, flexibility, and self-compassion, so relationships (including the one you have with yourself) feel less exhausting and more secure.

This approach can be especially helpful if you:

  • Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally shut down

  • Notice the same patterns repeating in relationships

  • Grew up in an environment where emotions weren’t safe or supported

  • Struggle with self-criticism, perfectionism, or difficulty relaxing

  • Want deeper understanding and real change—not just coping tips

I aim to create a therapy space that feels supportive, collaborative, and respectful of your pace. EFT isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about helping you feel more grounded, understood, and connected over time.

I accept UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and credentialing with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). My self-pay rate is $125 per session, and I offer sliding scale options when possible.
